Marielle Folan
Founder
Marielle has spent years building in-person communities and structuring brand partnerships from the operator side.
As the Founder of Ladies Wine Club NYC, she built a highly engaged IRL community and worked directly with consumer brands to integrate products into curated experiences. Over time, she saw a clear shift: brands were allocating more budget toward in-person community activations because they consistently drove stronger trust and conversion than influencer marketing, paid ads, organic social, etc.
In parallel, as Head of Membership at Maxwell Social, a private members club, she designs programming and partnerships that drive repeat attendance, retention, and real revenue. That role gave her a front-row seat to what actually makes people show up — and what makes brands continue investing.
Civique was built from that intersection.
“Communities hold something brands can’t manufacture: built-in trust, shared identity, and real-world influence over what people try and buy.
They’re one of the highest-conversion environments in modern marketing.
What’s been missing is a scalable, structured way for brands to access that trust, coordinate activations across communities, and measure the impact like a real acquisition channel.”
- Marielle Folan, Founder of Civique
